We need a certified dental assistant who's organized, calm under pressure, and genuinely enjoys patient interaction. You'll work chairside with our dentists across a wide range of procedures — general, restorative, cosmetic, Invisalign, and minor surgical cases. This is a clinic where you'll learn constantly because the scope of work is broad. If you're the kind of person who takes initiative and wants to grow, this is the right place.
What you'll do
- Provide chairside assistance during general, cosmetic, restorative, and surgical procedures
- Prepare operatories, instruments, and materials for each appointment
- Take digital radiographs, impressions, and iTero scans
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols
- Assist with Invisalign case setup including scan submission and aligner tracking
- Manage patient comfort during procedures, including sedation monitoring
- Maintain accurate records and update charts in real time
- Order and manage dental supplies and inventory
What we're looking for
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) designation, or equivalent certification recognised for registration in the NWT
- Current CPR certification
- Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques
- Comfortable with digital imaging and electronic health records
- Strong attention to detail and infection control awareness
- Professional, empathetic chair-side manner
Nice to have
- Experience with Invisalign or orthodontic assisting
- Familiarity with iTero scanners and CBCT imaging
- Sedation monitoring experience or willingness to train
- Experience in a multi-doctor or high-volume practice
